Hi, it’s Vince the Fear Doctor here again.
I have been involved in speaking and training for many years now and it’s been the most rewarding and fulfilling aspect of my professional life.
It’s been a great journey and like all great journeys it’s been full of twists and turns, highs and lows, huge successes and miserable disappointments.
But always I have done my best to be the best that I could be. As a young man I was a semi-professional footballer and that again gave me many opportunities to travel and experience a different world. Again, highs and lows, elation and disappointment – but always on the path to something better. I was lucky in that I always had heroes and inspirational characters that I could dream of emulating to some small extent.
I was blessed to be part of a strong family unit and did ok in my education (although it could have been more had I pushed myself).
I’m going to really shock you with the video link below, because in recent years, this has been the most inspirational video I have witnessed. But the message is one that I have been extolling in class for many years:
- never judge a book by its cover
- never underestimate your own potential
- it’s not where you start, it’s where you finish
- and only ever look down on a person if you’re stretching your arm to help lift them off the floor
Within every person, there is a great speaker bursting to come out. We all have a spark of magic within us that can scintillate any audience. We just need to find the catalyst as in the video below.
Speaking is a lot easier than singing, and it only takes one great performance to put you on the map.
In coming videos, I will talk to you about other people/speakers whom I have observed and whom have inspired me.
